1. Quiz: An after-class online quiz could be used as an assignment that counts for a small proportion of the whole course’s grade to test the student’s understanding of the definition and function of the opportunity cost concept. The quiz could be in the format of multiple choice or written response.
2. Discussion forum: As previously mentioned, Packback will be used as one learning platform for students and teachers to discuss the problems and answers. Weekly or biweekly discussion forums could be set up as one part of assignments, in which the teacher brings a question into the forum and requires the students to respond. Meanwhile, each student is required to ask a question as well and answer at least one of the other student’s questions.
3. Kahoot!: Kahoot! could be used as an in-class evaluation to how much does students learn in the class and their understanding towards important concept taught in class through the competition format. Students will make their own groups and complete The Kahoot! will contain 10 questions, and each question has one correct answer. If the students’ answer is correct, they will get 1 mark; if not, they will not get any marks. After completing answering all the questions, the score for every group will be calculated and ranked to show the top 3 winning teams.
4. Presentation and Q&A (questions and answers)
Presentation and Q& will be used to evalute the student’s understanding of concepts, theories, practical applications, and presentation skills. Presentatoin is out of 15 marks, 5 marks for every perspective. Q&A is out of 5 marks, 3 marks for question by peers, 2 marks for the open ended question created by the instructor.
The presentation will be evaluted with the following three perspectives: Content, Delivery, Interaction and engagement.
